Writer Blaise Hofmann and photographer Vincent Guignet set out to meet nineteen women from French-speaking Switzerland who are passionate about their craft: a blacksmith, a glassblower, a saddler, a quilter, a luthier, an organ builder, a tattoo artist, a weaver…
What unites these craftswomen is a joy in the craft itself, in the present moment, and in daily creation, following in the footsteps of traditions that are sometimes thousands of years old. With a contagious enthusiasm for discovery and new encounters, Blaise Hofmann and Vincent Guignet open the doors to these rare places for us – veritable treasure troves where every object is unique.
